With effect from 14th March 2013 the Visa Information System (VIS) will enter into force. All visa applicants above 12 years, irrespective of nationality, will have to apply in person and have their finger scans taken.

How to present a Visa application
Applicants for short term visas (Schengen Visa) have to apply directly without appointment at:
VFS Office in Lagos: from Monday to Friday (excluded Thursday) from 8.00 am to 01.30 pm;
VFS Office in Abuja: from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 03.30 pm.
Applicants for long term visas (Immigration Visas) have to apply directly without appointment only at the VFS Office in Lagos exclusively on Thursday from 08.00 am to 03.30 pm.
